My Sunday Photo | Growing So Fast

Image
This little girl is the apple of my eye, she is one truly amazing little girl who makes me smile, laugh, and is one of my best friends.  She is now 6 years old and I cannot see where that time has gone? You blink and they are no longer the babies they once were. She is now into things, likes to help with chores (most of the time), is reading everything she can get her hands on andhas the attitude of a teenager. I dread to think how she is actually going to be as a teenager. But right now, I am going to enjoy this time of year with her, watch Christmas films, play with her presents with her (on Christmas day) and share some tasty hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Lilly's Christmas Outfit | 12 Days of Blogmas

Image
I have finally worked out what Lilly will be wearing for Christmas, I want her to look smart but be comfy too and Nutmeg have some beautiful clothes in at the moment. I can't quite believe that this will be Lilly's sixth Christmas, it doesn't seem possible at all that she has been part of our world. I am quite envious of Lilly's outfit to be perfectly honest, she has a beautiful red tartan skirt which came with some detailed cream tights, from the Nutmeg range at Morrisons. The top is also part of the Nutmeg range, it is a gorgeous soft feel long sleeved top which says 'Sparkle All The Way'. Lastly I am going to finish the outfit off with some new pink, glittery party shoes from the Lily and Dan range at Aldi. I think that this all together with look super pretty and be a comfy outfit that she can wear all day with ease. Skirt and tights, Aged 5-6 £10 Top, Aged 5-6 £3 Shoes, Size 9 £6.99 I hope you enjoyed this post, I would love to see wha...

Quirky Lilly #2

Image
I can't quite believe that this little munchkin is going to be 5 soon! She is the cheekiest, kindest little girl who makes me laugh on a daily basis. I started this series to remember the little thing that make her her.  - Saying Hirrup instead of hiccup.  - Confusing the words melon and lemon - She all of a sudden has a crazy obsession with Power Rangers. One of our conversations Lils - You going to be now Me - Yep Lils - I've been in bed for ages Me - That's because you are younger than us and are still growing, Mummy and Daddy have finished growing Lils - That's good because you could bang your head on the roof, then you would flood the room with tears like Alice (in Wonderland). I don't want to swim in salty tears.

You've Started School

Image
Lilly,    I don't quite know what to say apart from I miss you. You have started your new adventure as a school child and I couldn't be more proud of you. I have seriously felt lost these past couple of days and the days seem to have dragged so badly for me.     Your first day was yesterday and you seemed to do so well, you made friends, smiled when you came out and even ate some of the school dinner that you were given (cheesy potato hotpot). You looked so smart in you uniform but it's still only a 3-4 size jumper (so tiny).   Your teacher is Mrs Goodchild and she seems so nice, you said you liked her which has made me happy. Your teaching assistant is Miss Hardcastle, she is lovely and has been so helpful already, I just hope no-one makes you cry or hurts you.    I have so many anxious feelings right now and even more so yesterday but I know in the back of my mind I shouldn't as I know you have been ready for this move for...

Your last day of nursery ever

Image
Lilly,     Today was your last ever day at nursery, how can this be? You have been there two years, had four incredible key workers over that time and have been a real super star by taking everything in your stride. You have grown so much in more ways than one, you can write so many letters and are starting to try and read, which makes me swell with pride.     The day you started, the day after your 3rd birthday was so scary for me, for the letting go of the child I have never been apart from. You did amazing from the start, not even a turn back after a week, ever since you have got more confident by the day and are so ready to start your new adventure.    I now have 8 weeks to make memories with you until you start in reception, until you are away from me for a whole 6 hours a day. It seems such a long time and I still have no idea what I am going to do with myself. I am so excited to hear all your stories of what you have made or what you...

Quirky Lilly #1

Image
I want to remember the quirky little girl that is growing and changing so quickly so am starting this series for that reason. She has such an amazing, caring personality and really does make my world a lot more adventurous and fun. She makes me laugh, gives the most amazing hugs, has such an incredible imagination and is so strong willed. I truely am blessed to have such a wonderful daughter.  - Playing with mine or her own ears when tired - - Saying Breakfuff instead of Breakfast - - Saying mo lawn instead of lawn mower - - Falling asleep in random places like against the bathroom and bedroom door frames stood up and once outside the living room door, and the kitchen -

Mummy + Me | December 2016

Image
Another month over, and another year over. It has been the most crazy and stressful year so far but we have made it though to the end.  December was lovely, my favourite month, just because of Christmas really. Lilly was so understanding of it all this year and was sure that Santa had forgotten her, bless her heart, but that did mean a very late night on Christmas Eve for us.  The rest of the month went by in a flash really, we had family to visit, Christmas fayres to go to, presents to wrap, food to buy and it just didn't see like I was very organised at all. And sadly this month, my car decided that it was going to give up all together and blow a head gasket :( so it's sadly off to the scrap yard.  The picture this month is one of my complete favourite photos of us together, it is taken from during Vlogmas when Daddy got his old Auorora AFX out, this is a kind of scalextric which Lilly found highly amusing and I managed to catch a picture of a purely am...

Mummy + Me • November 2016

Image
Wow! We are so close to the end of 2016, just one month left and here I am writing my Mummy and Me for November. We have have a lovely month we a couple of little outings and everything kind of falling into place. We attended our local Christmas light switch on a couple of weeks back where Lilly also saw Santa, she wasn't too sure of him and just did a tiny wave, she also went into a human snow globe which she was super excited for. Its an inflatable dome with fake snow in and a festive picture at the back, she loved jumping around and throwing the snow around too. I finally feel like I have gotten there with sorting the house and bills out for the next month which has taken a stress off of my shoulders, the only thing is that I still have my car up for sale but hopefully soon it will go so I can get a new one. I luckily have amazing friends who take me and Lil's to nursery in the morning and Liam takes me to pick her up. You can certainly tell it's Novembe...

I can't play with this.....it's for boys

Lately Lilly has been coming out with the idea that she can't play with something because 'It's for boys' and this really gets to me. She has always loved her toy cars and we have always let her play with them, it keeps her entertained for ages but lately she has been reluctant to play with them. We then asked her why this was and she told us that she didn't want to play with them as they are boys toys.....I was so shocked and upset for her to think that. Another time she has mentioned this is after nursery one day. She had been playing with babies (as usual) and told me that one of the boys wanted to play with them too, she told me that she didn't think that he should of because he was a boy and dolls are for girls. both times I have explained to her that she mustn't think like this, I hate gender prejudice and I didn't think that I would have to deal with explaining to her at such a young age (only 4). I will always let my daughter play with...

Mummy + Me | October 2016

Image
October is over for another year and I am so excited for the two months ahead of us, bonfire night and the build up to Christmas.  October has been a pretty good month apart from my silly banana car braking down twice, the first time I actually had to be towed home.....not good. I am now looking to get it sorted and selling it on for a more reliable car for me and Lilly.  We had a lovely week during half term, we had some lovely family days together and did lots of baking too. We made  cheese scones ,  tiffin mess  and  honey choc chip cookies . Another thing that happened during this month was that Lilly got prescribed some glasses  as she is long sighted. She has been so good in wearing them so far and loves swapping between her Frozen pair and her Rapunzel pair. I hope that November brings me luck with my car and that it is a good as this month, if not better.

Mummy + Me • September 2016

Image
September has been an emotional month for me, my littrle 'baby' girl turned 4! That is so crazy, I am a Mum to a 4 year old! We have had a very busy month all in all, I also celebrated my 25th birthday and Lilly went back to nursery too. Again I didn't get many pictures of us together but this one makes me very happy. It was taken on her birthday on the Safari truck at Port Lympne Animal park.  We had a lovely family day out with just me, Lil's and Liam which is very rare. The weather was lovely but sadly some of the animals were hidden because of that fact. We did get to some some beautiful animals though and had a full day out. She was also spoilt rotton witb all her new toys and clothes that she recieved, a very lucky little girl. September has been a lovely month that I am actually quite sad that it's coming to an end

Autimn girl • Toddler Outfit of the Day

Image
I am all about Autumn right now and loving the cooler weather and I wanted to share a cute little outfit from Lilly today. Last week I went into morrisons and got Lil's so cute little outfits to kit her out for these cooler months. Both the top and leggings are from the Nutmeg range which has some lovely bits in and I could spend way to much there. Top - Aged 4-5 - £2.50 This caught my eye the moment I entered the aisle, I love the colour and what it says too 'Mummy says I'm purrfect' Legging - Aged 4-5 - £4 I think that these are my favourite ever leggings I have got for Lil's I absolutely love the floral print on rthe light background. Slight quibble, they are a little loose on the way but plenty of room to grow into. Socks - Aldi  Bow - eBay I think that this will be a staple outfit this Autumn as I am a little bit in love with it. x

Hellingly Festival of Transport • Summer Holiday Project 2016

Image
I have finally got around to writing my post from the weekend. We went camping again but this time we were in a caravan which was so much nicer. We arrived to the camping field on the Friday which was baking hot. We arrived at about 2pm and sorted out our caravan for the weekend. Sadly we couldn't do much playing outside the caravan as the field was an old wheat field and the stalks were quite sharp where it had been harvested. The rest of the Friday was set up really. Saturday was another scorcher but we decided to head over to the show field to have a look at what was there. The field was literally packed which really suprised me. The vehicles over there ranged from military to farming to vintage, so many things to see and I am so glad we could go a second day.  Lil's absolutely loved all the vintage cars and military vehicles. She had so time with Nanny and Grandad whilst me and Liam where taking photos at the start. It was ridiculously hot but Lilly sti...

Mummy + Me • August 2016

Image
My blog has been a little quiet from my Summer holiday posts but I have been away camping again, blog post to follow. So we are at the end of August which means its time for a Mummy + Me post. We have had such a fun filled month but sadly at the beginning my other half lost his job. During this month we have had to camping holidays which were amazing. Both times were super cheap but super fun too with great company. We attended Rural past times and Hellingly festival of transport and also had a lovely afternoon on the pier. This month Lilly seems to have grown so much, maybe it is because of the experiences we have had over our weekends away but I still can't seem to get into my head that Lil's will be 4 in two weeks.  I have just a couple of weeks left with Lil's until she is back at nursery and I hope that we can give her a brilliant end to het summer holidays.  xXx

Magic painting and mini hairdressers • Summer Holiday Project 2016 #27

Image
We haven't ventured far from home today, only to the village for some shopping, but we have had a nice day in and I seem to have got a lot done. We  had to take an early trip to the village as our electricity ran out :( but we got a few other bits whilst down there to cover us for the rest of the day and Lil's got a 'Magic' spoon in her cereal so she was well chuffed. After we got back I started on the housework with the washing up, putting a wash on and folding, Lil's always puts her owm clothes away which is a huge help and earns her a sticker towards a prize. After lunch I started to edit my weekly vlog and Lil's came and joined me. We ended up dpingso magic painting with water, she got this with her peppa pig magazine the other day and at first could not understand why I said no to getting th paint out, she soon got the idea of just using water. Whilst letting thay dry we did some colouring and practised writing her name, she gets a l...

Car fixed & Free fruit • Summer Holiday Project 2016 #24 - #25

Image
Yesterday was a fail with my project but we really didn't do a lot and Lil's out of for a while with Nanny as we had a meeting and by the time Lil's got home it was her dinner time.  Today on the other hand was just a very slow paced day. Liam actually gave me a lie in, ths first in just over 2 years, I felt amazing and I think Liam enjoyed getting up with Lil's even though he'll never admit it. I woke up at 9am and he made me a coffee too, I felt like a princess haha. Not long after Liam left to go and fix my car, me and Lil's spent the morning catching up on some recordings and so cuddle time. After lunch we went to go and pick up my car which feels very odd now but its fixed which is amazing. Me and Lil's headed off to Tesco where I picked upa couple of birthday presents for her without her seeing. When we entered Tesco there was a box at the front saying that we could pick a free piece of fruit for children. I took Lilly over and she pic...
