We have been busy today today creating some spooky Halloween inspired secret stones to hide during half term. We were lucky enough to be gifted some paint marker pens by BOJECHER to try out. These are perfect for many different materials such as pebbles, wood, glass, fabric, ceramic and more.  These are perfect for so many crafts all year round, they're weather proof so will last a long time. The pen has two tips to choose from, a 3mm diagonal one and a 5mm round on, the round one being better for painting bolder lines. We have had lots of fun creating some scary designs using all 12 colours in the pack, the pack includes 10 normal colours and two metalic ones too. We are sadly almost at the end of the school holidays but I have been doing a few crafts with Lilly all aimed at Halloween and Autumn and I wanted to share them with you as they may keep your little ones happy for a while.                       Decorated Pumpkin                                                         This is such a simple thing and so inexpensive too. We picked up one of the small pumpkins from Asda for just 50p, they are a little to small to carve but perfect for making sparkly and cool. You will need: - 1 × Small pumpkin - Glitter / paint / stickers This year we have some glitter stickers as we can't seem to find any normal glitter anywhere local. We have been very busy today, full of crafts and baking and ended with a trip to watch our local carnival. We started off with baking, this was about 9:30 I decided to get everything ready so we could enjoy the cakes and take some to Nanny's if we went (which didn't happen). Recipe - 100g Milk Chocolate - 100g Cornflakes - 50g Butter - 2 tbsp Golden Syrup Method 1. Melt butter, chocolate and golden syrup 2. Mix with cornflakes 3. Place mixture in 12x cases 4. Let set in fridge for about an hour After our little baking session I decided to do some crafts with her too. We got loads of paint out with stamps, bottle lids, string, and sponge brushes. We also competed a foam fairy set that we got from poundland a few weeks ago. This was so easy to do except our paint dried out which came with it tl decorate her. I have been very quiet on my blog for a few weeks due to family issues, now they are a little more under contol I want to get back into blogging and the best way I could think of doing this was to blog our summer holiday. Lilly's last day of Nursery was yesterday which ended in a picnic so now we are officially on summer holidays. I want to write a diary of what we get up to so I am going to be trying to do a blog our crafts, adventures and day to day experiences. I would like to try and do this every day from Monday so I can look back on it and remeber making memories. I hope you enjoy this and that it gets my blogging mojo back :) xXx

Last week on Cbeebies was my little girls favourite theme to learn about, Space week. She absoloutly loves 'Stargazing' and has learnt a lot from it. She has also enjoyed learning about Tim Peake and where he is at the moment. To coincide with space week I thought that we could do a couple of crafts to do with space.  The first craft we did were shining stars, these were Lilly's idea so that Time Peake could see her from his 'space home'. These are so simple to do. You will need: - paper cut into start - glue - glitter/glitter pens - sequins - other decotating bits ie. Sweet wrappers, wrapping paper, foam This is so easy to do with your little one, I just put the glue on for her as there wasn't a lot left and let her have full rein of creativity. I cannot believe that I am preparing Lilly's Easter basket already. This year is seriously flying by.  This year it's slighly different, we have a few craft bits and some other little bits too. I also added a few little decorations with little chicks.  I always try to layout the basket so Lilly can see exactly what items she has in there. We will give the basket to her on Easter Sunday. Firstly we have the chocolate bits. Her Easter egg this year is the Kinder Suprise egg with disney princesses in. Also my mum and Dad brought her a bag of mini chocolate eggs a while back for her basket and have kept them back for her basket. I also picked Lilly up a new cup for Spring, Summer, this was from poundland and bas such a cute design on it. The crafts that are in her basket either came from The Works or PoundLand. She has some egg shaped foam shapes, and an egg decorating kit with paints, stickers and other bits too. These were both from The Work...

Today is Chinese New year,  the year of the monkey, so I wanted to do some crafts with Lilly to celebrate and teach Lilly about all the festivities.  First is the Chinese dragon, this was pretty fun to make and Lilly loves it. To make this I used a print off which I found on the crayons website. Lilly coloured it in and I cut it out. I made a concertina out of some paper and stuck it to the head and tale as a body. We had some gold shiny paper which I used as flames. Second was a paper lantern with the left of paper from the concertina. I used to make these all the time. Fold the paper in half and cut off about a 2cm strip off the end. The next part is cut strips about 2cm's apart from the folded end and stop about 2 cm's from the top. You then unfold and join the top together at the top and bottom to make a lantern shape. Now use the strip you cut off to make a handle. Did you do anything to do for Chinese New year?  xXx

We have been busy making chocolate nests and deets.  Firstly we made the chocolate nests with chicks from poundland and mini eggs from Aldi. There super easy to make and Lilly loved decorating them.  We then took a trip to Tesco and I managed to pick up Lilly an Easter bonnet and a few decorative things for £1 each. I also used a couple of chicks from after eating a cake each. Lilly chose the ribbon to use and stuck the stickers on, the stickers have two layers and pop out a bit which make them look better when stuck on. We then stuck two chicks through the mesh to add some more things. I think Lilly has enjoyed these Easter tasks. We have another blog post of some crafts we did coming to. xXx

Our Christmas Eve was perfect! So busy with getting last minute bits, baking and even seeing Santa fly over. By the time Lilly went to bed I was feeling more festive than I had all month. We had done so much and were ready for the next few days!  Here are a few pictures of our day. Lilly was really enjoying the cbeebies app with the advent calender,  So many easy Christmasy games for her to play.  This year we made some gingerbread for Santa along with a homemade mince pie. He also had a glass of sherry and some special reindeer food. Lilly also wanted to put a blanket out for him to be 'cosy' Santa came and left lots of treats for us, didnt realise how much we actually had lol. But made it look more special.  Lilly was exhausted by the end. Even though she was excited she slept like a log. Christmas day blog to follow!  xXx

HAPPY EASTER I hope you all had a brilliant Easter and got lots of chocolate. As you can see we have all been very spoilt with chocolate, and other bits. we all have a lot of treats to work though. I have also got a few bargains for next year, I know way ahead of myself lol. We started the day off with Lilly looking though her Easter basket, she loved getting all the items out and having a look at them all separately, especially her egg lol, chocolate on the brain.  To finish the day we made some chocolate nests with mini eggs. Lilly loved putting the eggs in, nicking a couple in the process hehe. All in all a lovely day with family, gifts and chocolate. Thanks for reading and a very Happy Easter  Viki x
