2nd Birthday presents

Image
I know Lilly's birthday is almost 5 months away but I have started looking for presents for her. I like to plan ahead. I would like to share a few items that I have looked at for Lilly.

So first is fabric food, I found this on a shop through Facebook and totally fell in love with this. I think it is completely unique and different to what most of the shops sell. I love these as they are so cute, and there is such a wide array of food that you get buy in this style such as cakes, burgers, fruit, veg and it just looks adorable.

Next is the wooden kitchen, I've always loved the kitchen sets and prefer the wooden style. In my opinion they are prettier and more durable for children to play with. There are so many different styles ranging from prices low to high.

Next are wooden instruments, again wood I know but I just love wooden toys as they are so traditional and believe have more character. I love the idea of Lilly being musical and instruments are perfect to help her rhythm come…

A trip to the farm

Image
Today me and Lilly took a trip to a working farm in Pett. It was a nice day for it and we really enjoyed ourselves.

There were 4 types of animals that we saw which were Cows, sheep, chickens and ducks.
We started off by walking over some on the fields and saw the sheep waiting to give birth, and collected such things as feathers and wool.

We then headed back to the main bit so got to walk through a field of sheep and head along the trail with chickens everywhere.

We made it to the cow shed where there were so many cows and they just kept appearing, there was a cow just given birth so very protective. Lilly was so nervous at first but got over that in the end and tried to feed a couple herself.

After we saw some ducks and then we had to come home, So we washed our hands and off home we came.
Hope you enjoyed our little adventure as much as we did.

Style Sunday | Sunny day

Image
So I'm more into fashion than I have ever been, I thought I would do a weekly fashion vlog called Style Sunday with outfits from both me and Lilly pops.

Today was really warm and sunny so thought I would go for a more summery look.
I have on some Navy blue skinny jeans from New Look, these are super comfy and cheap as well :) will always go back to these jeans. I also have a long loose fitting yellow top from R&D fashion Paris, really don't have a clue what shop that is, but has been in wardrobe for years now. Then I have a plain white vest top underneath for dignity.
For accessories I have a pink flower clip in which I got from eBay, this was to continue the summery look, I also have my engagement ring on and some pearl stud earrings which are from superdrug.
For Lilly today we have  some 3/4 length pink leggings from Next, also her pink t-shirt is from Next. Then we have some sandals from George, Asda, and her pretty little bow is again from eBay.

I hope you had a brilliant …

Lilly update | 18 months

Image
So today Lilly is officially a year and a half! Wow, where has the time gone.

Speech: She learns new words every day, which is lovely :) and is always trying to copy what we say and what people on the telly say. She also knows some animal noises and has started to try and sing bless her. The cutest thing ever.
Size: She is in size 4 pull up nappies as she has started asking for the potty and has actually used it a few times. She is in 12-18 month clothing and 3.5 shoes so still very diddy.
Food: She eats pretty much everything, usually for breakfast she has porridge or toast, for lunch will usually be sandwiches or bread sticks and cheese and she east what we eat for dinner.
Routine: She usually wakes between 6:30 and 7:30am then we play, eat breakfast and get dressed for the day, we then put her for her nap at about 11-12 which lasts up to 2 hours. She then has lunch and we go out or play some more. Dinner is a 6 usually and we bath her every other day due to eczema. Her bedtime is 7:30…

Treasure Basket

Image
So Here is a brilliant  sensory item for your older babies and toddlers to play with and learn by, a treasure basket.

As you can see you can add lots of different items into the basket.  First start of with a sturdy basket which will not tip over very easily, then pick your items.  You can use household items such as utensils, coasters, fabric, or natural items such as pine cones, shells, seeds/ smelly items .

You can also make it to suit the time of year with tinsel for Christmas, more natural items for autumn and the shells and summery items for the summer months.
Lilly loves it when I get this out, she loves feeling all the items and banging the basket and generally making a mess and having fun.

Just one thing, PLEASE SUPERVISE YOUR CHILD.
Hope you enjoy

First scan

Image
So two years ago today was the first time i saw out little girl :) a small little baby on the screen.

I remember sitting in the waiting room thinking all these what ifs?  what if there's nothing there? what if it was like before? what if the hearts not beating?
the scariest part of my whole pregnancy I think.  But to our amazement and joy a little baby popped up on the screen in front of us. He kept moving the wand over my belly, it was surreal that the baby on the screen was in my belly.

I know the pain of bad news, being told sorry it not going to survive, but the second time was our turn and our little girls turn to be a part of this world.  I believe that I was more grateful for her but more worried through the whole time being pregnant because of my past.
For those who have loved and lost, spare a thought. For no matter how long you are pregnant they are still a part of you.

Happy belated pancake day

Image
Would like to say a happy belated pancake day,  We had it late as yesterday was mental.
So today we have had lots of fun doing things in the sunshine while its here.

We have been to a toddler group with messy play, paint everywhere, then been to our local playpark. After we went for a walk to our local country park and back a very muddy way.
After that we chilled until dinner and of course pancakes, me and my other half had pancakes with lemon and sugar, and Lilly has Nutella.

All in all an enjoyable, busy day

What I ate for dinner 22nd-28 February 2014

Image
Saturday
I ate a chicken and smoky bacon layered salad, this salad consists of carrot, lettuce, cucumber, peppers, pasta, chicken, smoky bacon and some sort of dressing. This is a shop brought salad from Tesco, it looked so tasty and called out to me, the let down is that it is quite high calories. For pudding I had a mini malteaser bunny which was so yummy :)

Sunday
On Sunday I had so whitby scampi, homemade chips and some tar tar sauce, I haven't had this in ages and really fancied something different. I deep fry the scampi, I know the most unhealthy way but tastes so much better. The chips are just a spud cut up and some Tesco tar tar on the side. Nom.

Monday
I had a lovely home cooked meal from scratch today. I had chilli con carni cooked in the slow cooker, which I have picked at all day! so nice. I added a little ginger and cinnamon too. I had this chilli with plain white rice which was a bit gunky but tasted good.

Tuesday
on Tuesday I used up the rest of the chilli con carni, I hat…
