MSC Splendida look back | 14/1/12 | Back home & Our ship

Image
Our last day started off quite early where we finished off packing and left our suitcases where they were required then went and waited in the theatre to wait to be sorted for our coaches. I was quite sad to be leaving the ship but couldn't wait to get home and see my parents and also start planning for our Lil's. We had an amazing time and I would certainly recommended a cruise if you loke variety. The food was great and the staff were incredibly friendly.  Our flight bacl was just as exciting as our trip out but on pur return we learnt that the Costa Concordia had sunk off of an island near Civitavecchia. Later we heard that some were lost in this terrible accident. I want to leave this post which some pictures from pur beautiful boat.  Thank you MSC. xXx

MSC Splendida look back | 9/1/12 | Pregnant and Formal evening

Image
The 9th of January 2012 was a very surreal day for me. We woke late this day as we had a day at sea, I knew that I was 2 days late and had brought a test with me so that I could check when away. At about 10am I took the test and within one minute it had shown a positive result. I was ridiculously exciting and we were so hapoy after what had happened the previous year. I had been taking pre natals and been watching what I drank from the off set so it was certainly welcome news and I felt a lot more confident. We spent the day relaxing and just taking a look around the ship itself while we had then chance. We even put on our dressing gowns and headed to the hot tub at the back of the boat. Just to sit in there and relax whilst out at sea was so refreshing. After that we went to the main hall to have lunchx which was always a buffet lunch, there was such a wide variety of food and thr main bit that I liked was the quiche they did. We then went back to searching th...

MSC Splendida look back | 8/1/12 | Tapas in Barcelona

Image
Out next stop was Barcelona, I absoloutly loved this place. We had to get a coach from the port to the shopping area which took us near a cute little market which sold so any nick nacks. There was a few street statues/characters around like the the Roman (pic below) and a man dressed as the mad hatter too.  There was also a lot of little kiosks about where you got buy souvenirs and chocolate too. There was some random things like little men on the water in a very strange pose (pic below) and two escelators in the shoppong centre were turned off to create a nativity scene from the top to the bottom. We had lunch at a beautiful tapas bar right on the edge of the port area so we could watch the boats go past. The food was lovely and I actually ordered in Spanish too,my GCSE paid off for once. My other half is quite fussy with his food so we found a MacDonalds for him, the only issue we had was trying to tell them 'No Salad' so that they could understand. ...

Toddler outfits | Holiday edition

Image
Two outfits that I really loved for Lilly were the two party din both esses that she wore when we went up to the clubhouse. This first outfit is definitely set for a princess and the little tiara just finishes it perfectly. The dress itself is from Primark, the top part has a little cat on it. The cardigan is from Nutmeg which Nanny brought for her for our holiday and her shoes are from H&M that she has had for a while. We got the tiara whilst on camp for just £1 in the character shop. This second outfit is equally gorgeous, she loves this dress herself. The dress is from H&M and has a netted piano the whole way around with leather looking hands at the front as if someone playing. Her midi cardigan was also from H&M and has glittery thread though it. I didn't have any really smart shoes for her to wear and she chose to wear the panda wellies that we got her from F&F at Tesco. I may be biased but I think she looks absoloutly beautiful in bo...

OOTD | Holiday edition

Image
I was treated by my man to a clothing haul before we went away and this was one of the looks that I was able to pull together for an evening up the club house. The main part is a peach play suit from 'Select'. Its very lacy and I was so unsure of this but the picture made me love it so much. This was in the sale from just £7.99 My cardigan is just an old one from New Look. I've had this for ages and just thought it would add a bit more of a casual look. To finish the look I just had some black tights and a pair of peach pumps from Primark, they cost me just £4. I absoloutly love this look and am so glad I picked this up. xXx

Haven Holidays | Devon Cliffs, Exmouth

Image
This time last week we were in Exmouth, Devon at Havens Devon cliffs. This camp is situated with access to Sandy bay which is a beautiful bay with red cliffs surrounding the large sandy beach. We went with my parents who are both in wheelchairs so we lived in an adapted caravan for the week. It was one of the best caravans that we have had on a haven camp and I could quite happily have lived there.  Our caravan had centeral heating, beds made up on arrival, fridge freezer, double glazing, and electric (which was perfect for Lillys early mornings) and everything else expected Iin a static caravan. This camp has a large arcade and a soft play area when we get rainy days. There were many outside play areas and a nature trail for the better days. They have a large indoor swimming pool with a splash zone, flumes and slides. You can also hire Segways to use on camp. Devon Cliffs has many food venues including the Mash and Barrel restaurant, this was a lit...

What's in Lillys bag | Holiday edition

Image
It's just three weeks till we take our holiday to Devon Cliffs in Exmouth and I thought I would share what I am taking in Lillys backpack for our journey to our park. I will start with the usual things, so nappies/dry like me, wipes, outfits, snacks and drink. This is a must have just to be prepared for any journey out. The extra bits that I am taking are either to keep her amused or for comfort.  I have a small colouring book and two packs of crayons for when we get to camp. She loves colouring and I found this cute book that would fit in her backpack. I then have some small books to fit in there that I know she likes including Elmers parade, The dinosaur that pooped a lot and Rusty's train ride.  I then have my Samsung galaxy tab 2 loaded with apps for her. I also will be adding music for her and downloading some tv programmes from BBC Iplayer. Lastly we have her bunny and sheepy with us which she has in bed with her every single night.  ...
