Your last day of nursery ever

Image
Lilly,     Today was your last ever day at nursery, how can this be? You have been there two years, had four incredible key workers over that time and have been a real super star by taking everything in your stride. You have grown so much in more ways than one, you can write so many letters and are starting to try and read, which makes me swell with pride.     The day you started, the day after your 3rd birthday was so scary for me, for the letting go of the child I have never been apart from. You did amazing from the start, not even a turn back after a week, ever since you have got more confident by the day and are so ready to start your new adventure.    I now have 8 weeks to make memories with you until you start in reception, until you are away from me for a whole 6 hours a day. It seems such a long time and I still have no idea what I am going to do with myself. I am so excited to hear all your stories of what you have made or what you...

My breastfeeding story

Image
I think this is an important for me to post as it took me a long time to accept that it wasn't going to work out for us. My story is a very brief one that only lasted two weeks.  I struggled from the offset and had a lots of tears that went with that. When in hospital and the first few days home I was souly breast feeding but she would struggle to latch or would be onnfor such a short amount of tine and then be hungry a few minutes later.  When in hospital I remember getting very upaet and another Mum on the ward reassured me and said that it was a struggle with her too, this helped a little until that night. Lilly had been fussy since Daddy had left and wouldn't latch at all. In the end a lovely midwife came over, got me to lie on my side, got Lilly to latch a told me to close my eyes and gdt some sleep. She said that she would check on me soon and move Lilly if need be. I woke about 3 in the morning to find Lilly fast asleep in the cot. That was the only midwife in ...

Lilly's 3 year update

Image
I have just realized that I never wrote a post about Lilly pops at 3. I still really cannot believe that she has been in our life three years. Food Lilly still loves her food and certainly isn't fussy like her Daddy. For breakfast she usually has cereal but does like toast and porridge too. For lunch she will usually have a sandwich of some sort and some fruit to go with it, then for dinner she'll pretty much eat anything, her favourite is pasta and cheese. Lilly loves her vegetables and fruit and also loves sweeties to (but what child doesn't) Speech She talks so much telling us about her day and about her friends from nursery. She asks questions about everything and says 'No' a lot. She can count from 1-19 and them gets confused. Lilly also loves to sing nursery rhymes and theme songs and also attempts to song the alphabet. Sizes Lilly is now in size 3-4 as she seems to have grown so much in the last few months, especially in height. ...

Happy 3rd birthday | Mummy Monday

Image
I cannot believe that my little girl is going to be three years old. I see her grow and change every day but can't believe that three years have passed since I gave birth to her. Three years today was the most surreal day of my life, starting a new chapter, not only for me and but for me and Liam as a couple.  She is the best thing that happened to us and I am so thankful that we have a beautiful, clever little girl who knows how to make us smile and feel better with her quirky personality. I have watched her grow into this little girl who wants to explore and learn in any way she can, she knows how to push our limits and winds us up like no tomorrow but I wouldn't change her for the world. To Our Lilly, We wish you a very happy birthday,  You have made our life so fun and unpredictable, you have an amazing personality and you make me laugh and and smile so much every day, You have so many amazing adventures coming along and I know that you a...

Potty training time

Image
So I feel in me that Lilly is ready for potty training, she uses the potty al part every day once or twice and now feel that it is time to get the ball rolling. Last week I brought a couple of items to get us on our way, firstly was a pack of 18-14 month briefs, just the cheap and cheerful ones beacuse I know accidents are going to happen. These were only £3 from F&F (Tesco) I then also brought a pack of dry like me. These were on offer at £2 a box. There little pads to go into briefs. I thought these would be good to try out.  Lilly will use the potty mainly before bed, or just after she has woken. I have been rewarding her with lots lf praise and a sticker for her chart to show her how many times she has managed to use it. We have also used a couple of the dry like me, the first time she hated it but the second time was completely different. Both times she has told me to late bless her. She gets so angry and upset at herself. Fingers crossed p...

2 year update

Image
I seriously cannot believe Lilly is two years old, really am in shock!  She really does make me proud and surprises me every single day.  Talking She is doing amazingly well with her speech, she is stringing words together to create sentences and is also using words such and delicious and ridiculous in the right places. She has also started to think about her answers before saying things and asks for many different things. Another thing she loves to do is sing her little heart out, theme tunes, nursery rhymes, popular songs and movie songs, its so cute. Eating She has become slightly more fussy with what she east but still eats the majority of things we put infront of her. Sadly Lilly has gone off of pasta which is a shame but she will have soup and bread or fish, sausages, sometimes even a roast dinner. She loves her fruit and sweets and also a huge like are the bears yoyo's which are made of fruit. Sleeping She FINALLY sleeps through and s...

Toddler Tuesday | 20 Month Update

Image
I cannot believe that my little girl is 20 months tomorrow. She makes us proud every day and brings tears to my eyes at least once a week for being so amazing. Don't get me wrong, she winds us up to buggery sometimes but what toddler doesn't. So first to her speech, she says new words every single day. I am truly amazed at how much and how easily she picks up words. For us, from the telly, songs, other people. She knows most of her body parts now and a he'll of a lot of animal and vehicle noises too. Unreal really. Food is a love for Lilly. She will eat pretty much everything that we put in front of her. She is so cheeky though as she always answers chocolate when we ask what she wants to eat, definitely my girl. Lilly is still in size 12-18 month clothing and size 3.5 in snows although she can for into a couple of her size 4 shoes. But on a high note she can finally have a mini ponytail....finally. That's pretty much it for this month, T...

19 Months update

Image
I can't believe Lolly has just turned 19 months old. Unbelievable. She says so much now and pretty much copies every single word she hears. The good ones and the bad ones :(. She is still in 12-18 month clothing and size 3.5 shoes so still very diddy bless her. She knows so many animal noises now and many of her body parts. She also tells us if she has hurt herself and shows us where, so adorable. She suprises me everyday, and makes me proud every day, even if we have our moments lol Thanks for reading Viki X
