Easter in Pictures

We had a wonderful and simple Easter this year. We were quite busy but nothing we couldn't handle.  Good Friday we went to go and look at a little car for me. I ended up buying it for just £650. We then went up to Liams mate house and enjoyed the warn sun in the play park and had bacon sandwiches. Saturday was Liam's 25th birthday, but sadly I didn't get any pictures as Liam hates having photos taken. There is blog post about his birthday basket  if you want to know what he got from me and Lil's. We ended up going over Liam's parents and the birthday boy decided that he wanted to help me clean my car out. Easter Sunday was such a nice family day indoors. Lilly woke up at 7:25 which I thought was an amazing lie in but sadly it turned out that the clocks went forward and it was just normal time. We had three eggs hidden for her which she had ti hunt out and find, she got so excited. Later that day we did some Easter crafts with he foam eg...

Lilly's Easter Basket 2016

Image
I cannot believe that I am preparing Lilly's Easter basket already. This year is seriously flying by.  This year it's slighly different, we have a few craft bits and some other little bits too. I also added a few little decorations with little chicks.  I always try to layout the basket so Lilly can see exactly what items she has in there. We will give the basket to her on Easter Sunday. Firstly we have the chocolate bits. Her Easter egg this year is the Kinder Suprise egg with disney princesses in. Also my mum and Dad brought her a bag of mini chocolate eggs a while back for her basket and have kept them back for her basket. I also picked Lilly up a new cup for Spring, Summer, this was from poundland and bas such a cute design on it. The crafts that are in her basket either came from The Works or PoundLand. She has some egg shaped foam shapes, and an egg decorating kit with paints, stickers and other bits too. These were both from The Work...

My week in Pictures • 14th - 20th March

Image
We have had a pretty uneventful week but I took a few pictures. First up I decided that it was time to get ready for Easter, so I brought some Easter decorations for Lil's window. On Thursday it was the day for Lil's nursery to dress up for Sports Relief. They had to wear red and obviously we didn't have any. Luckily my Mum came to the rescue woth two cute red cardigans from Sainsbury's which I paired with the  Mini club floral tunic  and a blue pair of tights. And her school shoes. Lastly from today, it has become a yearly tradition to watch the runners of the Hastings half marathon from Lilly's Great Grandma's house. This year we saw so many people dressed up, a man running the whole thing backwards and some very fast runners doing a 13.1 miles run in just over an hour. Crazy. We have had a lovley week and finished it with a quick drive through the countryside on the first Spring day of the year.  xXx

Easter crafts

Image
Easter is again upon us so I thought we would have an afternoon of crafts. We had lots of different bits from Peppa pig print outs to DIY decorations I picked up last year. Lilly really enjoyed the variety of things that I got out, and loved the fact that there was more than just colouring. We had things to glue and things to put on. Lilly also like filling the purple egg box with the play eggs, I'm thinking of doing her Easter lunch Iin the box to make it extra special. Lilly loved making her crown the most, glueing the eggs where she wanted them and making  it her own. I am really proud of how long she kept her attention to the crafts. What bits are you doing with your little ones?  xXx

Easter basket 2015

Image
I have done another Easter basket this year for Lilly pops. I love the idea of these and I believe that they make it more exciting for the child themselves. It also means that you can buy other things rather than just chocolate. We have afew of the same things from last year, such as her bouncing bunny, the finger puppets and the personalized egg from  beebies  but we have added some items too So this year we have a very cute drinking cup with chicks and eggs on, it have a swirly straw too and this was from poundland. we then have an Easter book for us to read from  world of books .We then just have a mini Lyndt bunny and a Cadbury's head egg. I really enjoy doing these for Lilly and I hopes she enjoys it too. xXx

Chocolate nests and Easter bonnet

Image
We have been busy making chocolate nests and deets.  Firstly we made the chocolate nests with chicks from poundland and mini eggs from Aldi. There super easy to make and Lilly loved decorating them.  We then took a trip to Tesco and I managed to pick up Lilly an Easter bonnet and a few decorative things for £1 each. I also used a couple of chicks from after eating a cake each. Lilly chose the ribbon to use and stuck the stickers on, the stickers have two layers and pop out a bit which make them look better when stuck on. We then stuck two chicks through the mesh to add some more things. I think Lilly has enjoyed these Easter tasks. We have another blog post of some crafts we did coming to. xXx

Our Easter 2014

HAPPY EASTER I hope you all had a brilliant Easter and got lots of chocolate. As you can see we have all been very spoilt with chocolate, and other bits. we all have a lot of treats to work though. I have also got a few bargains for next year, I know way ahead of myself lol. We started the day off with Lilly looking though her Easter basket, she loved getting all the items out and having a look at them all separately, especially her egg lol, chocolate on the brain.  To finish the day we made some chocolate nests with mini eggs. Lilly loved putting the eggs in, nicking a couple in the process hehe. All in all a lovely day with family, gifts and chocolate. Thanks for reading and a very Happy Easter  Viki x

Easter Basket

It's almost Easter and saw this beautiful idea from  ohsoamelia  of an Easter basket and changed it to fit with our ideas. So firstly the basket is from poundland, I thought the colours were bright and pretty, and her Easter egg this year is a kinder surprise one, with a free Polly pocket.  This is a beautiful handmade item from  beebiesbabystore . I am so happy that I ordered this and love the way that you can personalize you item. You can choose from a range of colours of which I went for lilac to match Lilly's basket. These gorgeous finger puppets were made by a family friend, I love the detailing on these and the quality is outstanding. These also have mini eggs in them too just to add to the Easter present idea.  Lastly is a little bunny which Lilly's nanny got her last Easter, if you press its tummy it makes a bouncy noise which is so cute, and I believe just finishes off the basket perf...
