As  you may have noticed I have been away from the blog for a few days now and haven't really been on social media either, well me and Liam's family have been out camping at Pestalozzi Village for an event called Rural past times. We have been going out for a few years now with our men doing the car park duty, camp site look out and litter pickers. Me and Lilly arrived on the Thursday after and play date and some last minute shopping, I had also packed up my banana car that morning with everything we needed, it was chock a block. Liam and his Dad set up our tent and I did the beds, we both had ready beds, Lil's had a really cute Disney Princess ReadyBed and we just had a double ReadyBed. they are really nice airbeds with a built in sleeping bag, they are so comfy and pretty warm too. After that was set up we got some of the toys out and started using the quad bikes that we had taken out there. Lilly now has her quad but she is a little to young and small to ...

Bank holiday fun | Laughton cuckoo fayre and banger racing

We had a very busy and family orientated bank holiday weekend. We visited the Laughton country show and cuckoo fayre and Arlighton stadium for micro madness, four a side team banger racing.  It was so nice to have sone time with just me and my litttle family. To get out of the house and treat our little girl to some well deserved days out. so Sunday we travelled about an hour to get to Laughton where we had a lot to see. The cuckoo fayre was amazing. They had a fun fair just inside the main gate with rides for all ages. Lilly went on the chairoplanes and a little car roundabout. She loved both of them but they wete priced a little high. There were so many vehicles to look round, campers, agricultural, vintage cars and bikes, ex army, I think you'd have to go all three days to see everything there. There were also a couple of experiences you could have Iincluding a 4x4 course and a ride in a tank. Me and Liam did the later as Lilly didn't want to. She wat...

Rural Past Times

Image
We thought that we would take a trip to Rural past times this year, it was only a 10 minute drive away.  Here are a few snaps from today. Lilly loved the little tikes car her cousin had out there. These beautiful shire horses, so tall and look so strong, Lilly had never seen a horse up close before. This is an amazing music stand which plays music and had some visible moving parts, such a beautiful example of the past. Nanny brought her a lovely new hat from one of the handmade stands, and we found this beautiful bench carved out with owls. Lilly met her 2nd cousin today, they had lots of fun playing together in the sand and the car, it was so adorable. I think that it tired Lilly out as she went to sleep no trouble bless her. She has been spoilt and came home with the new hat, a shape sorter and an inflatable minnie mouse. All in all a wonderful day :)  xx
