World of country life

Image
When in Devon we took a trip to the World of Country life. There was so much to do there, something for everyone.  At the World of country life there were animals of all sorts, vehicle museum and steam museum, also play areas for the children (or big kids like me and Liam).  The first part that we looked round was all about farming machines and the way they used to work. They were all working and and the mini train had all moving parts. We then went into a section of little scenes and costumes from the past. We then entered a little village row with shops and a public house to look in. There were many animals to see including deer, rhias, pigs, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats and a little nursery full of baby rabbits and cute chicks. Lilly was very unsure of the larger animals but the baby goats were definitely her cup of tea. They also had a birds of prey display, we saw  a hawk and an owl. The owl was amazing and actually flew over...

Toddler Outfit | So grown up

Image
A bit of clothes shopping and came across these bargains in the sale. I could not resist.  Her t-shirt is from peacocks and came as a set of two for just £4 which I thought was a pretty good price. The other top was a long sleeved pink ans white top. Her jeans are from H&M, which if you read my blog you'll know I've been loving. These were marked as £7.99 down to £5 but only got charged £4 so pretty good price.  I think she looks so grown up in jeans and the t-shirt is just so cute.  xXx

What's in Lillys bag | Holiday edition

Image
It's just three weeks till we take our holiday to Devon Cliffs in Exmouth and I thought I would share what I am taking in Lillys backpack for our journey to our park. I will start with the usual things, so nappies/dry like me, wipes, outfits, snacks and drink. This is a must have just to be prepared for any journey out. The extra bits that I am taking are either to keep her amused or for comfort.  I have a small colouring book and two packs of crayons for when we get to camp. She loves colouring and I found this cute book that would fit in her backpack. I then have some small books to fit in there that I know she likes including Elmers parade, The dinosaur that pooped a lot and Rusty's train ride.  I then have my Samsung galaxy tab 2 loaded with apps for her. I also will be adding music for her and downloading some tv programmes from BBC Iplayer. Lastly we have her bunny and sheepy with us which she has in bed with her every single night.  ...

Easter crafts

Image
Easter is again upon us so I thought we would have an afternoon of crafts. We had lots of different bits from Peppa pig print outs to DIY decorations I picked up last year. Lilly really enjoyed the variety of things that I got out, and loved the fact that there was more than just colouring. We had things to glue and things to put on. Lilly also like filling the purple egg box with the play eggs, I'm thinking of doing her Easter lunch Iin the box to make it extra special. Lilly loved making her crown the most, glueing the eggs where she wanted them and making  it her own. I am really proud of how long she kept her attention to the crafts. What bits are you doing with your little ones?  xXx

Christmas day 2014

Image
The best Christmas in a long time! Didn't end as planned but the rest of the day was brilliant. Food, presents, family and laughs.  Lilly was completely in her element with it all and I thinks little overwhelmed with the amount of new toys she received. So much to take in for her.  So we started off Christmas day with our traditional breakfasts, apart from my other half wasn't up for a fry up. So I had my boiling bacon with pickles, Lilly had Christmas tree crumpets with jam and a smoothie. This rocking horse was from Grandma and Grandad, it makes noises and moves it's mouth, Lilly now has a rocking horse at each grandparents house. We started off Christmas dinner with a homemade prawn cocktail which tasted amazing. All sat down to Christmas dinner, was so tasty but too much was made as usual, so much leftover meat and veg. Lilly wasn't too impressed with the food choice. That evening we went to great Grandma and great G...

Christmas eve 2014

Image
Our Christmas Eve was perfect! So busy with getting last minute bits, baking and even seeing Santa fly over. By the time Lilly went to bed I was feeling more festive than I had all month. We had done so much and were ready for the next few days!  Here are a few pictures of our day. Lilly was really enjoying the cbeebies app with the advent calender,  So many easy Christmasy games for her to play.  This year we made some gingerbread for Santa along with a homemade mince pie. He also had a glass of sherry and some special reindeer food. Lilly also wanted to put a blanket out for him to be 'cosy' Santa came and left lots of treats for us, didnt realise how much we actually had lol. But made it look more special.  Lilly was exhausted by the end. Even though she was excited she slept like a log. Christmas day blog to follow!  xXx
