Winter Wonderland | 12 Days of Blogmas

Image
Last weekend I was lucky enough to travel up to London with Lilly, my Auntie and my uncle to Winter wonderland at Hyde Park. This is a free to enter event in the centre of London which is very family oriented and very festive. There are many rides and attractions for you to see BUT I would advise prebooking for the big attractions online. We arrived at around 2pm and the queue to enter was quite small, we only waited about 5 minutes before we were at the bag check. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was electric.  The first thing we did was check out some rides for Lilly (kind of wish we had waited as there were more Christmas themed one further in) and got some hot drinks (hot chocolate)   The children's rides range from £2 - £3 each and the larger rides cost £6,- £8 each. They had such a wide array of rides to choose from. They had more Christmasy themed rides and huge roller coasters too. In the centre there is a large, tall ferris wh...

MSC Splendida look back | 9/1/12 | Pregnant and Formal evening

Image
The 9th of January 2012 was a very surreal day for me. We woke late this day as we had a day at sea, I knew that I was 2 days late and had brought a test with me so that I could check when away. At about 10am I took the test and within one minute it had shown a positive result. I was ridiculously exciting and we were so hapoy after what had happened the previous year. I had been taking pre natals and been watching what I drank from the off set so it was certainly welcome news and I felt a lot more confident. We spent the day relaxing and just taking a look around the ship itself while we had then chance. We even put on our dressing gowns and headed to the hot tub at the back of the boat. Just to sit in there and relax whilst out at sea was so refreshing. After that we went to the main hall to have lunchx which was always a buffet lunch, there was such a wide variety of food and thr main bit that I liked was the quiche they did. We then went back to searching th...

Lilly's 3 year update

Image
I have just realized that I never wrote a post about Lilly pops at 3. I still really cannot believe that she has been in our life three years. Food Lilly still loves her food and certainly isn't fussy like her Daddy. For breakfast she usually has cereal but does like toast and porridge too. For lunch she will usually have a sandwich of some sort and some fruit to go with it, then for dinner she'll pretty much eat anything, her favourite is pasta and cheese. Lilly loves her vegetables and fruit and also loves sweeties to (but what child doesn't) Speech She talks so much telling us about her day and about her friends from nursery. She asks questions about everything and says 'No' a lot. She can count from 1-19 and them gets confused. Lilly also loves to sing nursery rhymes and theme songs and also attempts to song the alphabet. Sizes Lilly is now in size 3-4 as she seems to have grown so much in the last few months, especially in height. ...

Toddler Tuesday | Lilly's 21 month update.

Image
I am so sorry for the absence. But I have not had it in me to blog or vlog. So Lilly turned 21 months old on Saturday just gone, which means it is now less than three months till her 2nd birthday. She still eats everything and anything but seems to be more hungry, like constantly hungry lol. Fruit and veg are her favourite even before chocolate now. She has started sleeping through about once a week so I get a brilliant nights sleep, just hope that but winter she sleeps through properly which would be amazing. She is still in 12-18 month clothing and a few larger 9-12 t-shirts. She again is in 3.5 shoes almost size 4 but she is definitely growing. So basically she is doing brilliantly in my eyes with everything including speech, playing, singing and just generally being a toddler. Thanks for reading Viki X

Toddler Tuesday | 20 Month Update

Image
I cannot believe that my little girl is 20 months tomorrow. She makes us proud every day and brings tears to my eyes at least once a week for being so amazing. Don't get me wrong, she winds us up to buggery sometimes but what toddler doesn't. So first to her speech, she says new words every single day. I am truly amazed at how much and how easily she picks up words. For us, from the telly, songs, other people. She knows most of her body parts now and a he'll of a lot of animal and vehicle noises too. Unreal really. Food is a love for Lilly. She will eat pretty much everything that we put in front of her. She is so cheeky though as she always answers chocolate when we ask what she wants to eat, definitely my girl. Lilly is still in size 12-18 month clothing and size 3.5 in snows although she can for into a couple of her size 4 shoes. But on a high note she can finally have a mini ponytail....finally. That's pretty much it for this month, T...

2nd Birthday presents

Image
I know Lilly's birthday is almost 5 months away but I have started looking for presents for her. I like to plan ahead. I would like to share a few items that I have looked at for Lilly.   So first is fabric food, I found this on a shop through Facebook and totally fell in love with this. I think it is completely unique and different to what most of the shops sell. I love these as they are so cute, and there is such a wide array of food that you get buy in this style such as cakes, burgers, fruit, veg and it just looks adorable. Next is the wooden kitchen, I've always loved the kitchen sets and prefer the wooden style. In my opinion they are prettier and more durable for children to play with. There are so many different styles ranging from prices low to high.  Next are wooden instruments, again wood I know but I just love wooden toys as they are so traditional and believe have more character. I love the idea of Lilly being musical and instruments ...

Lilly update | 18 months

Image
So today Lilly is officially a year and a half! Wow, where has the time gone.  Speech : She learns new words every day, which is lovely :) and is always trying to copy what we say and what people on the telly say. She also knows some animal noises and has started to try and sing bless her. The cutest thing ever. Size : She is in size 4 pull up nappies as she has started asking for the potty and has actually used it a few times. She is in 12-18 month clothing and 3.5 shoes so still very diddy. Food : She eats pretty much everything, usually for breakfast she has porridge or toast, for lunch will usually be sandwiches or bread sticks and cheese and she east what we eat for dinner. Routine : She usually wakes between 6:30 and 7:30am then we play, eat breakfast and get dressed for the day, we then put her for her nap at about 11-12 which lasts up to 2 hours. She then has lunch and we go out or play some more. Dinner...
