This little girl is the apple of my eye, she is one truly amazing little girl who makes me smile, laugh, and is one of my best friends.  She is now 6 years old and I cannot see where that time has gone? You blink and they are no longer the babies they once were. She is now into things, likes to help with chores (most of the time), is reading everything she can get her hands on andhas the attitude of a teenager. I dread to think how she is actually going to be as a teenager. But right now, I am going to enjoy this time of year with her, watch Christmas films, play with her presents with her (on Christmas day) and share some tasty hot chocolate and marshmallows.

  So every year since Lilly was about 2 we have done her a Christmas eve box and this year is no different, we don't put a lot in as we do a lot of practical stuff on Christmas eve together too but these things fill in the gaps. Lilly's Christmas eve box consists of: - The Night Before Christmas (Aldi 99p) - Christmas Activity Book (Aldi 69p) - The Snowman DVD  - Her Stocking - Hot Chocolate Cup With a Candy Cane - Snowman poo (White marshmallows)  - Reindeer food (Glitter free)  - Christmas Teddy - Reindeer Wobbly Antlers (Sainsburys) - Small Bag of Chocolate (Aldi 59p) We do use a lot of things again, such as her book and the DVD but its just a nice little extra thing to do for her and gives her something to do whilst we do adult jobs. For blogmas day 16 I thought I'd share a way of saving some money and doing your own.  I have been contemplating buying some of these hot chocolate cones for Lillys Christmas eve basket but people are charging up to £2.50 per cone. I thought about checking the price on the cones on eBay and to my surprise they were only 99p for 10 cone bags. The cone pictured below is 3 scoops of hot chocolate and some marshmallows for the pefect cup on Christmas eve. It took me not even a minute to fill and tie it up and is ridiculously easy to do at home rather than paying way above the odds for it. I hope you like this simple idea for a cute little stocking filler or Christmas eve box. Happy blogmas xXx
