Mummy + Me | March 2017

Image
How are we at the end of March already? It has been another pretty hard month, sadly my Mum is still in hospital and it just seems to be going on for so long now. The better things this month thought was Mother's Day and Liam's Birthday too. We had a pretty busy day as they both fell on the same day. I travelled to the hospital to see Mum while he went to spend some time with his family. We spent a lovely evening together with a couple of drinks and a few snuggles Lilly seems to have grown and changed so much this month which is making me incredibly broody and wanting to expand our family. Her speech is amazing and she is starting to get a cute little sense of humour, I still can't quite believe she is now 4 1/2 already.

We're going camping • Summer Holiday Project 2016 #16

I have been a bad blogger today and have mot got any photos but I have not stopped since literally the moment I got up. Our day started at 6:45am when me and Lil's had to leave to get my Dad to a hospital appointment for 8am. It was so cold and I was ridiculously tired too but we made it with plenty of time to spare. When we got home I finally had my breakfast and felt a lot better after that. I woke my other half up and got him out of the house when he needed to be which meant I could get on with bits. Last night we decided that we would join the rest of Liam's family camping out at Rural past times and to help out as well. The only thing is that it has only given me two days noticed to get organised and packed for the weekend as we will be leaving Thursday. After getting a lot of the house work done, Liam's Mum phoned to let me know she was picking me up to get some ReadyBeds for the weekend, a double for me and Liam and a Disney Princess junior on...

My breastfeeding story

Image
I think this is an important for me to post as it took me a long time to accept that it wasn't going to work out for us. My story is a very brief one that only lasted two weeks.  I struggled from the offset and had a lots of tears that went with that. When in hospital and the first few days home I was souly breast feeding but she would struggle to latch or would be onnfor such a short amount of tine and then be hungry a few minutes later.  When in hospital I remember getting very upaet and another Mum on the ward reassured me and said that it was a struggle with her too, this helped a little until that night. Lilly had been fussy since Daddy had left and wouldn't latch at all. In the end a lovely midwife came over, got me to lie on my side, got Lilly to latch a told me to close my eyes and gdt some sleep. She said that she would check on me soon and move Lilly if need be. I woke about 3 in the morning to find Lilly fast asleep in the cot. That was the only midwife in ...

Birth story

Image
I have been thinking about this a lot lately, and wanted to write it down before my memory forgets bits and I thought that it would be cool to share with you. So on the 12th of September 2012, I had a sweep performed and was told to get rest, have a bath and that sort of thing, I had also been booked in to be induced on the 15th if sweep didn't work. I remember her telling me that it may be uncomfortable, and I said back I have to give birth in the next week and she laughed. So that day I went home and relaxed, nothing happened. On the Thursday I woke up late, had a bath and loads of food...nom lol. Then at about 8:30pm I had rather a major bleed, so went to hospital to be monitored for an hour, was sent home about about 10pm. This turned out to be my plug. I tried to go straight to sleep but was getting little twinges. Managed to kind of drop off at about 11pm and then my waters decided to break. I sat up and went to my other half 'I think my waters have...
