Mummy + Me July 2017

Image
So today marks the last day of July, This month seems to have been the slowest so far but its nice as I have spent some quality time with our girl over the last week and a half. We're in full swing of the summer holidays now and have already had a lovely few days down the park and enjoying the concoctions of weather. I have been struggling a bit with my emotions over the past couple of weeks but have a huge support network around me. I have just been missing mum a lot and can't quite explain to some people how I feel as I don't really know myself.  We have a lot planned for next month, we have camping trips, a carnival and a special trip to pets at home coming up. I want to enjoy these next 7 weeks with her as when she start school in September I know she is going to grow and change so much while she is at school.  How has your month been and what have you got planned for the next few weeks?

Play day in the park • Summer Holiday Project 2016 #3

Image
Today was the first of two play days in the park, this is an event that is set up by the council which is completely free. There is so much to do there and kept us occupied for about 2 hours before Lil's got hungry. The first place we went to wash the mud and sand kitchen, only of Lilly's favourite things to do. She made sand tea and soup too. One part which was right in the centre was wood work, we ended up making a littlw robot, she helped me hammer the first nail in and then told me where she wanted things. I think her idea for a robot was perfect. In another area of the park was the sports section with mini golf, football, a pirate assult course and a bouncy bungee thing. Lil's wasn't that interested in this today but hopefully next week. We ended uo doing a treasure hunt where you had to find 10 pictures and take the number from the picture and match them on the list. We got a prize for this, Lil's chose a fairy wand.  After the trea...

A Trip to Fairlight Country Park

Image
It is coming to the end of the Easter school break so want to make the most of the last few days with her, especially now I have a car to take her places.  Yesterday I decided to take Lil's on a trip to Fairlight Country Park which isn't to far from us luckily.  The Country park is a beautiful place which so many little trails that we can take. The first trail we took goes straight past the Fairlight coastguard station with the radar. The trail then goes off towards the cliffs, the view from up there is just beautiful. On a good clear day you can actually see over to Dieppe, France. We then took the long walk back up the hill to the carpark where we took the second trail up. This trail took us though to the old quarry, this looks like something out of a movie as it is so surreal. The trail took us down some man made and some natural steps down in the the main part, once down the steps we were surrounded by the rocks from the quarry.  We then headed back a...

My week in pictures | 7th - 13th September

A very eventful week for me to share. As you may have read I passed my theory test on Monday. I was so happy yet so surprised.  After I passed my test I met with Lilly's Nanny and grandad as they looked after her. We then went down the park together. I found this tree quite fascinating the way the trunk twisted and the branches grew out in sections. Look at this little princess, I seriously cannot believe she turns three tomorrow. She is still not asleep but I think its because she is excited for the next couple of days. I can see me being an emotional wreck lol. Lastly I wanted to share my birthday present from my mother in law, she knows me way to well. A big bundle of Yankee candle samplers and two cute little jars for them too. I only picked then up yesterday, hence the picture in today's blog. I hope you enjoy these posts, I am so excited for the coming week but as I said I know I am going to be an emotional wreck. xXx
