My Sunday Photo | Growing So Fast

Image
This little girl is the apple of my eye, she is one truly amazing little girl who makes me smile, laugh, and is one of my best friends.  She is now 6 years old and I cannot see where that time has gone? You blink and they are no longer the babies they once were. She is now into things, likes to help with chores (most of the time), is reading everything she can get her hands on andhas the attitude of a teenager. I dread to think how she is actually going to be as a teenager. But right now, I am going to enjoy this time of year with her, watch Christmas films, play with her presents with her (on Christmas day) and share some tasty hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Growing up fast

Image
Lately I have noticed how much Lilly has grown and changed. It has happened so quickly and I wish I could take every moment in. It seems only yesterday that she was only just on the move and now she is literally everywhere, she is so fast and such a dare devil. Lilly always wants to do things without help and usually manages it.  I noticed how much she had changed on our holiday, her talking seemed so strong and clear when away, I wonder weather that's because she was with my parents too. She was making friends and joining in the groups that they do, listening to instructions and managing to follow them. She also started doing a number 2 in the toilet which we had been struggling to get her to do at home. Another thing that happened was that she went 5 nights Iin a row being completely dry.  The most amazing thing was when we went into the pool! She had not been in a pool for almost two year but took to it like a duck to water. She had her princess armb...

No more dummies!!!

Image
No more dummy! We have now managed 4 days without a dummy. I am unbelievably proud of her and thought i would share how we did it. On Saturday we found that she had bit through her dummy, so we threw it away and brought a new pack. That night I tried to give her one of the new dummies for bed but she did not want to know, so I explained to her that it was the only dummy we had and that she would have to sleep without it. Ever since she has slept and napped without it. She has asked for it a few times but i have said that she is a big girl and has done so well without it. Can't believe that we have managed to get rid of it without a huge fuss. Really happy and Proud. x
