My First Car

This is a post I have been meaning to wrote for a while but kept forgetting and also wanted to get my car washed before taking pictures of it.

This is my first car, my little yellow banana car which has been named 'Mater' as in the tow truck from Cars. This is because Lil's loves cars and originally wanted to call it lightening McQueen ha ha. 


For my first car I wanted a reliable, clean car yet not have to pay to much for it and not be too expensive to run. I kept saving and kept looking and finally came across a few. Most had gone by the time I got there but this one was still available. 

It came with a folder for of history and has only had one owner from new before me. It has been looked after and was just a cute little car that would suit me. 

I check the insurance before even asking to look at the car, luckily it is a very reasonable price and with a good company too. It is so cheap to run with a full tank being only £20 and only being a town run around really it doesn't use a lot of petrol. 

I absolutely love my little car and and so glad I finally don't have to rely on buses anymore. I just can't believe its my car sometimes, I think it's where I have been waiting for so long to be a driver.

    Aw what a cute car! Mine was a black Fiat Punto - I called it Giles after the character from Buffy The Vampire Slayer :D

    My first car was a little Ford fiesta. I remember saving all my money up for it and it was £1000 about 25 years ago!

    I don't drive due to medical reasons but my hubby wants to learn. Such a lovely looking first car.

      I have wanted to drive since 17. My little girls school is about a ten minute dribe away but it we walk it takes us about 30 mins each way x

    I never got to drive my first car. I bought an old banger and by the time I had passed my test it didn't drive anymore. :) x

    My first car was a 1993 Vauxhall Corsa and it was 13 years old when I bought her. She cost me £800 and had one previous owner. I loved her, then a few months later a really horrible man crashed into me and wrote my poor Lucy off. Still to this day I am angry with that man, that was 10 years ago haha Enjoy your first car, she's a cutie.

    I had 3 cars before I had passed my test. I bought two of them for my mum to drive us around in whilst I was learning (never 2 at same time) I had a Ford KA then a Hyuandi Amica SI, then a Vauxhall corsa that was 10 years old, then a Ford Fiesta. Now we have a Range Rover.

    That is a great little spunky car for you and the family. I love the color and the name. How cute? Mater. What a great reference, I am glad you went with it -- fun for the kids! In addition, looks perfect for a first car and a great price. Thank goodness it does not take much for petrol!

BHP Show 2016 • Lydden Hill

The last time I visited the BHP show I was pregnant with Lil's and it was only a one day event. This year I got to take my baby back to see it for herself and enjoy two days there instead, including a COLD night of camping.  The BHP show is (I believe) a yearly event which takes place at Lydden Hill Race Circuit. This is about 1 hour and a half drive from our house so not too far for us to go, Lilly was as good as gold travelling both there and back, but then again she slept the whole way back.  The show wasn't as good as back in 2012 due to the lack of demo's but the Drift Allstars team were amazing and made Lilly scream with joy after a silly 5 minutes of being scared.  On the Sunday we took a look around the pits, that's a big reason why we like Lydden hill is because of the open pits. The importance of a smear test

Last month I got my first 'invitation' to have the cervical cancer screening, or smear test as it is commonly known. I was a little surprised as I am on 24 but phoned up straight away to book an appointment.  To me this is so inportant as it could potentially save your life. The test takes about 5 minutes, and even though it's unpleasent, in my eyes it's necessary. I am now in tge waiting period for my letrer to say weather or not I am clear of abnormal cells. It can take up to 21 days for the letter after your appointment and you will hear either way.  The nurse that I had was so calming she showed the equipment and explained exactly what she was going to do. She could tell I was nervous but she kept re-assuring me and just telling me to breath and relax. I am so relieved that it is done and hope that everything is ok. Being a carer for my parents

Both my parents have mobility issues and are bithnow in wheelchairs. Since I can remember my Mum has been in a wheelchair due to have a very worn hip joint which she was born with.  When I was in year 9 my Dad's back started to hurt and progressivly got worse to the point where he struggled to get out of bed. I am now classed as a carer to my mum which is important for me, my mum is very stubborn and sometime I have to have a little nag to get her to do things. I don't see my parents in any other way than just my parents, if that makes sense. My Mum is an amazing person who makss me proud every day. Due her lack of mobility she also has other health problems which she can control with tablets and lifestyle changes.  My Dad is still constantly on the go with his veterans and the local carnival which he does every year using his mobility scooter as his base for his structure. He does feel it after he compeltes things but I think it gives him motivation to
