February has been a really hard month for our family with my Mum being very poorly in hospital but en these two people with me in the above picture have really been my rocks. Liam has been my shoulder to cry on, my ear to listen and his cuddles and support have been just truely what I have needed. Lilly makes me incredibly happy with her smiles and giggles and her hugs are just the best to cheer up a hard situation. With hospital visits, half term and now the chaos of going back after a week we haven't really managed to do a lot but we have had a few family days in with films, puzzles and baking too, trying to keep the normality at home for Lilly. Today has been a really lovely day, we staryed off with a late start again 7:25am which is just crazy. My body is living the extra sleep but I am so unsure why she is sleeping so well, not that I am moaning. About 9:30 I decided that it was time to get on with the day so we made some more chocolate cornflake cakes and this batch was certainly better than the first. They are ridiculously cheap and easy to make and they go down a treat. After Lilly made a caf in our hall out of her two car seats, her dolls car seat and a camp chair. She pretended that her car had the same issue with mine and pretended to fix it, such a Daddy's girl. Just after Lil's lunch Liam picked us up to get the part form my car but sadly they didn't have any in store. So we headed off to MacDonald's for mine and Liam's lunch. The last time I visited the BHP show I was pregnant with Lil's and it was only a one day event. This year I got to take my baby back to see it for herself and enjoy two days there instead, including a COLD night of camping.  The BHP show is (I believe) a yearly event which takes place at Lydden Hill Race Circuit. This is about 1 hour and a half drive from our house so not too far for us to go, Lilly was as good as gold travelling both there and back, but then again she slept the whole way back.  The show wasn't as good as back in 2012 due to the lack of demo's but the Drift Allstars team were amazing and made Lilly scream with joy after a silly 5 minutes of being scared.  On the Sunday we took a look around the pits, that's a big reason why we like Lydden hill is because of the open pits. To finish our busy weekend we went off to Lydden Hill race track to watch King of Europe drift. It was incredibly hot but we still had a fantastic day and not a but of sunburn in sight.  It was an early start with us getting up and 5am to gat awake and ready and waking Lilly up a 5:45 to get her ready to go. We left a about 6am and got a couple of bits from the shop to wake us up.  The night before (after the carnival) I cooked loads of snack bits to take with us such as pizza, sausage rolls and chicken nuggets but they weren't very appealing at 6am lol. We stopped at MacDonald’s jusy before we got to the race track for a bacon roll and a coffee, Lilly had porridge. We got there very early so we sat in the car for a while and then took a trip around the pits to look at all the cars competing, This is one of the best things about Lydden Hill is that is usually an open pit. A flash back Friday for you, just back to April when we went to Lydden hill for the weekend to watch The British Drifting Championship. We camped for one night. Lilly loved camping in the tent and jumping on the airbeds, took her a while to get to sleep but she slept like a log. Look at these gorgeous pink cars, the speed they can go to. They looked amazing, and sound really nice too. At Lydden hill they have an open pit, which means you can walk around and look at all the cars. This was one of the best pictures I managed to get of the drifting. Lilly loved watching the cars fly by and got really excited. Shame the first day was a bit of a wash out. Family picture time of course. The second day was a nice day and the track dried out quite quick. I could not tell you who won or anything like that but was a lovely family weekend. XxX
