We have had a poorly Daddy today so Lil's has been finding every way to cheer him up those afternoon. Going back to this morning though, I decided that instead of hiding away in the front room trying not to wake Daddy we would take a well needed trip to our local town, I had a couple of chores to do and it would kill a bit of time. Firstly I tried to get some paperwork sorted but sadly couldn't, so a little bit of a wasted wait there but the rest if the time was well used. I picked up a glass milk bottle from poundstretcher for a stocking filled (I know its early) and also managed to get one of Lil's birthday presents without her seeing what it was. When we got home Daddy had just got out of bed and looks a little healthier so we all had some lunch and have had a really chilled afternoon. He asked if I could run down the road for something and I got loads of other little jobs done at the same time, like a pharmacy run and a charity shop run.  Whe...

Lilly has been learning about letters at school and is learning how to write her name, so last night I decided to use our bath paint mentioned in my  April favourites  post. We started off with spelling and writing her name on the wall, I wrote it as the bath paint isn't the easiest to use. She seemed to enjoy watching and learning through this so decided to start writing letters on the wall and getting her to tell me what letter it was.  After she told me the letter I got her to try and think of words that begin with that letter which worked really well. Se was able to come up with some words for all the letters I wrote down for her. She did get a little confused with C and K, when I asked her for an animal that began with C she said Kangaroo but I explained as best I could and told her that it was a good try too. We have mentioned these before when Lilly was just over 2 years old but I still had a packet in the drawers.  These are so easy to use, you get a small pack of the colour in tiny form, you then let them soak in the amount of water stated for the time stated, then they're ready to go. The texture is very slimy and slippery but bounce very well which Lilly loves. We play with them in the bath to keep the mess to a minimum otherwise I'll be finding them in a years time. They do brake eventually but Lilly gets a good 30 - 45 minutes per pack before we call it time. I get two different colour packs off of eBay for just 99p and they are usually delivered within a few days. eBay shop These are brilliant for learning colours or could even use them for a themed sensory play such as maybe the beach with shells and other related bit too. I have just realized that I never wrote a post about Lilly pops at 3. I still really cannot believe that she has been in our life three years. Food Lilly still loves her food and certainly isn't fussy like her Daddy. For breakfast she usually has cereal but does like toast and porridge too. For lunch she will usually have a sandwich of some sort and some fruit to go with it, then for dinner she'll pretty much eat anything, her favourite is pasta and cheese. Lilly loves her vegetables and fruit and also loves sweeties to (but what child doesn't) Speech She talks so much telling us about her day and about her friends from nursery. She asks questions about everything and says 'No' a lot. She can count from 1-19 and them gets confused. Lilly also loves to sing nursery rhymes and theme songs and also attempts to song the alphabet. Sizes Lilly is now in size 3-4 as she seems to have grown so much in the last few months, especially in height. ...
