This my first Mummy and me post, I have wanted to write these for a while but have never gotton round to it. I have always wanted to document my little girls life from day one and filmed weekly pregnancy vlogs too. We have been adverntuing out more with me having a car, then when getting back home Lil's love to wrap up in her dressing gown for some snuggles. This month has been a testing month with extra expenses and illnesses going round.  Now its the end of the month and we are MEANT to be going away camping and watching racing but have a broken car and two out of the three of us is ill. Hopefully all will be well by then.  The threenager has really come out in Lilly in the past couple of months with her sulking over silly things, but she has started listening at nursery better which makes me super happy and proud of her.  xXx

The importance of a smear test

Image
Last month I got my first 'invitation' to have the cervical cancer screening, or smear test as it is commonly known. I was a little surprised as I am on 24 but phoned up straight away to book an appointment.  To me this is so inportant as it could potentially save your life. The test takes about 5 minutes, and even though it's unpleasent, in my eyes it's necessary. I am now in tge waiting period for my letrer to say weather or not I am clear of abnormal cells. It can take up to 21 days for the letter after your appointment and you will hear either way.  The nurse that I had was so calming she showed the equipment and explained exactly what she was going to do. She could tell I was nervous but she kept re-assuring me and just telling me to breath and relax. I am so relieved that it is done and hope that everything is ok. But I just wanted to write this for everyone who has had the invite. Come on ladies Take it! Book an appointment and have th

Being a carer for my parents

Image
Both my parents have mobility issues and are bithnow in wheelchairs. Since I can remember my Mum has been in a wheelchair due to have a very worn hip joint which she was born with.  When I was in year 9 my Dad's back started to hurt and progressivly got worse to the point where he struggled to get out of bed. I am now classed as a carer to my mum which is important for me, my mum is very stubborn and sometime I have to have a little nag to get her to do things. I don't see my parents in any other way than just my parents, if that makes sense. My Mum is an amazing person who makss me proud every day. Due her lack of mobility she also has other health problems which she can control with tablets and lifestyle changes.  My Dad is still constantly on the go with his veterans and the local carnival which he does every year using his mobility scooter as his base for his structure. He does feel it after he compeltes things but I think it gives him motivation to

Creating My Dream Blogging Space

Image
I have been blogging for two years now and sadly do not have the room to have a separate blogging space bit still imagine what my space would look like, and often get office envy reading other bloggers posts. I love the idea of just being able to sit down at a desk and write with no distractions around me, like my own little hide away in a loft, with me, my camera, my computer and a cup of tea. I would love to have fresh light colours such as a cream or white for the desk as in my opinion it looks a lot cleaner and can brighten the space up. It would also have to have plenty of storage for chargers, note books and the hundreds of pens, pencils and crayons I have acquired since having Lil's.  The desk pictured below is one that I would certainly consider, this is from  Argos  and looks quite modern with a good amount of storage too. I also love the natural look of the desk, its not too modern and seems very practical, which I think it important. I've imag

Water bead sensory play

Image
We have mentioned these before when Lilly was just over 2 years old but I still had a packet in the drawers.  These are so easy to use, you get a small pack of the colour in tiny form, you then let them soak in the amount of water stated for the time stated, then they're ready to go. The texture is very slimy and slippery but bounce very well which Lilly loves. We play with them in the bath to keep the mess to a minimum otherwise I'll be finding them in a years time. They do brake eventually but Lilly gets a good 30 - 45 minutes per pack before we call it time. I get two different colour packs off of eBay for just 99p and they are usually delivered within a few days. eBay shop These are brilliant for learning colours or could even use them for a themed sensory play such as maybe the beach with shells and other related bit too. These are brilliant even for Lilly's age, she gets a lot of fun of them and they keep her out of mischief fo

A Trip to Fairlight Country Park

Image
It is coming to the end of the Easter school break so want to make the most of the last few days with her, especially now I have a car to take her places.  Yesterday I decided to take Lil's on a trip to Fairlight Country Park which isn't to far from us luckily.  The Country park is a beautiful place which so many little trails that we can take. The first trail we took goes straight past the Fairlight coastguard station with the radar. The trail then goes off towards the cliffs, the view from up there is just beautiful. On a good clear day you can actually see over to Dieppe, France. We then took the long walk back up the hill to the carpark where we took the second trail up. This trail took us though to the old quarry, this looks like something out of a movie as it is so surreal. The trail took us down some man made and some natural steps down in the the main part, once down the steps we were surrounded by the rocks from the quarry.  We then headed back as Lill

Birthday Basket for Liam

Image
This time last weej was Liam's 25th birthday, he is incredibly hard to buy for and never knows what he wants at all, so this year I thought that I would do a basket of loads of things that he likes and needs too.  Liam love anything tk do with cars and loves cleaning his cars too so that was my main idea with a couple of added bits to bulk it out. First I went to Halfords to look at all the car cleaning bits, they had a 3 for 2 offer on the whole range. I firstly grabbed the Auto Glym leather cleaner, he has bee going on about this for a while so that was a must, I then looked at the microfibre clothes for him and also so cockpit cleaber too, this is in the scent of New car smell which is one of his go to air freshener scents. Lastly Lilly saw the smily face air freshener which she wanted to get for him. Next is the other bits I brought, firstly was a t-shirt which has the stig on and says 'Sone say I'm the best Dad in the world'. I thought th
