Hughie's Supercar Sunday

On Sunday me and Lilly took a trip to a very cool local event known as Hughie's Supercar Sunday, this is an event that is in memory of a little boy call Hughie who was just 3 years of age when he gained his wings due to a rare brain condition. He was a big supercar fan so every year since his family have put on an amazing event to raise money for charity, this year being the Chestnut Tree House charity.



With over100 supercars parked up there was a lot to see, and Lilly was very lucky to be able to sit in three different types of Super cars, a Lamborghini, a Ferrari and a Maclaren. A few of the cars revved there engines to show off them. 

There was a cake sale and other fundraising bits to the back of the event for the Chestnut tree house along with many collection buckets. The family also brung there VW FireTruck which has been converted for children to play in and around. I have just read that this event has raised £5,408.12 for the charity, which is amaing.


The event was a wonderful morning out and especially being on Father's Day (Liam didn't attend as he doesn't cope well with crowds). It was quite an emotional event though knowing the reason behind it but at least he is remembered in such a lovely way.

Thank you to the family for making a postive thing coming out of such a sad situation, and thank you to all the car owners for bringing your cars down for everyone to see.

I have been blogging for two years now and sadly do not have the room to have a separate blogging space bit still imagine what my space would look like, and often get office envy reading other bloggers posts. I love the idea of just being able to sit down at a desk and write with no distractions around me, like my own little hide away in a loft, with me, my camera, my computer and a cup of tea. I would love to have fresh light colours such as a cream or white for the desk as in my opinion it looks a lot cleaner and can brighten the space up. It would also have to have plenty of storage for chargers, note books and the hundreds of pens, pencils and crayons I have acquired since having Lil's.  The desk pictured below is one that I would certainly consider, this is from  Argos  and looks quite modern with a good amount of storage too. Being a carer for my parents

Both my parents have mobility issues and are bithnow in wheelchairs. Since I can remember my Mum has been in a wheelchair due to have a very worn hip joint which she was born with.  When I was in year 9 my Dad's back started to hurt and progressivly got worse to the point where he struggled to get out of bed. I am now classed as a carer to my mum which is important for me, my mum is very stubborn and sometime I have to have a little nag to get her to do things. I don't see my parents in any other way than just my parents, if that makes sense. My Mum is an amazing person who makss me proud every day. Due her lack of mobility she also has other health problems which she can control with tablets and lifestyle changes.  My Dad is still constantly on the go with his veterans and the local carnival which he does every year using his mobility scooter as his base for his structure. BHP Show 2016 • Lydden Hill

The last time I visited the BHP show I was pregnant with Lil's and it was only a one day event. This year I got to take my baby back to see it for herself and enjoy two days there instead, including a COLD night of camping.  The BHP show is (I believe) a yearly event which takes place at Lydden Hill Race Circuit. This is about 1 hour and a half drive from our house so not too far for us to go, Lilly was as good as gold travelling both there and back, but then again she slept the whole way back.  The show wasn't as good as back in 2012 due to the lack of demo's but the Drift Allstars team were amazing and made Lilly scream with joy after a silly 5 minutes of being scared.  On the Sunday we took a look around the pits, that's a big reason why we like Lydden hill is because of the open pits.
