Our Summer Holiday Collage 2018

Image
Well that's another summer holidays over, and what a summer holidays it has been. We have made more memories than I could have even hoped for. Below is just a snippet of our 6 1/2 weeks of fun.  Week 1  (23/07-29/07) Week one was quite a quiet with a trip to the main park with my Dad to Play in the Park, an event run yearly with loads for children of all ages to take part in. other than that we hid a bit from the heatwave. We also went to watch both the Red Arrows and the Battle of Britain Memorial flight in aid of 100 years of RAF. Week 2  (30/07-04/08) This week we joined the summer reading challenge,m which we actually need to finish....opps, its a little harder this year as sadly our local library closed and the nearest one is a 30 minute bus ride away. We also went to play in the park again, just me and Lil's this time. We met Elsa, Anna and some storm troopers too. Lastly we had a lovely meet up with some of the school mummies, it was still so h...

Mummy and Me | August 2017

Image
How is it September already, we have had such a busy month with lots of fun days out and weekend away. The beginning of August we took a trip to Pets and Home for a little workshop, she got to hold two beautiful bunnies and was made up with life. Straight after we headed to our local town for there carnival, my Dad was involved by creating a carousel around his mobility chair. We also wore sailor hats in memory of my Dad's friend and a local man who everyone loves, he used to dress like Popeye and was also able to pull the face too. We have then been on two weekends away in a caravan, at Rural Past Times and also at the Festival of Transport, these are two local events which we are involved in. Lil's had a fair few late nights and two nights dancing with the family. We have made amazing memories and have become closer as a family.  We have a fair few adventures in the this coming month and I seriously cannot wait for all the new experiences and routines that we are...

Losing my Mum | 2 months on

Image
I was never expecting to lose my mum at the age of 25, I don't think anyone does, but my mum was always so strong, conquered so much and fought so many illnesses and obstacles that in my head she was invincible. I don't quite know how to process my feelings lately because I know at the end she was very unwell and had a great way of hiding it but she is my mum, I need her so much. She has literally been the person who I have been able to open up to about everything, she was my best friend and my guide. Sometimes I think that I am relieved that she is not in pain anymore but most of the time I hate that she is not around anymore, I will never get a phone call about an ambulance that has rolled in on to there estate or a moan about Dad, I will never watch Lil's hold on to the back of her mobility scooter laughing her head off again. I am so proud of the women who brought me up, she was an incredible lady who touched a lot of hearts and proved a lot of profession...

MSC Splendida look back | 14/1/12 | Back home & Our ship

Image
Our last day started off quite early where we finished off packing and left our suitcases where they were required then went and waited in the theatre to wait to be sorted for our coaches. I was quite sad to be leaving the ship but couldn't wait to get home and see my parents and also start planning for our Lil's. We had an amazing time and I would certainly recommended a cruise if you loke variety. The food was great and the staff were incredibly friendly.  Our flight bacl was just as exciting as our trip out but on pur return we learnt that the Costa Concordia had sunk off of an island near Civitavecchia. Later we heard that some were lost in this terrible accident. I want to leave this post which some pictures from pur beautiful boat.  Thank you MSC. xXx

MSC Splendida look back | 10/1/12 | Mums birthday from Malta

Image
The 10th of January, my Mum's birthday. I had felt kind of bad not being home for it but she was happy that I was getting such an amazing opportunity. We arrived in Malta today to a beautiful view so we decided to sit in the buffet area to watch us pull into port and enjoy our breakfast. Every door was a different colour ans most actually turned out to be little shops selling nic nacs. When we got off the ship we have a little walk to get to the buses for a tojr of the island. Whilst waitong we saw an old style bus which is actually quite common in Malta. The whole island is like stepping back in time. Our bus driver was crazy, he was going so fast at points and we got so cold sitting on top of a tour bus but had a beautiful view. We got off in a few places. One of these places is famous for coloured glass, we only looked in the shop there but me and Liam picked up a beautiful little candle holder which whas purple, red and white and in the shape of a heart. ...

My Week in Pictures | 23rd - 30th August

Image
Hello, another post of my week in pictures and I start off which looks like it should be winter. The weather had been crazy this summer and on this particular day it was cold and raining so we opted for a cosy warm coat that my aren't brought her. She looks so grown up in it though. The next picture makes her look even more grown up in the bath robe, cleaning her teeth. A couple of months back I wrote a post about the  Aquafresh Brush time app  which she has been using daily and absolutely loves it. My little girl is so talented, she created this 'frog' out of play doh all by herself. I was folding washing and she said look at my frog mummy. I was so surprised I actually welled up.  Today she has done the same thing by making a bird out of duplo all by herself, very proud mummy and daddy today. We were serving for munch in Sainsbury's the other day and came across an area full of American bit such as the strange M...

My week in pictures | 16th - 23rd August

Image
My first one of these and not a lot of pictures to share so I did add last Sunday too. We decided to go and take Nanny's dog buddy for a walk, the view from our local country park is beautiful and you can actually see France some times.  Everytime we asked Buddy to stop and wait Lilly would sit her hum down and wait to. She looked so cute hidden in the grass. I noticed that I didn't have a lot of pictures with my sidekick lately so I got my phone out and did some silly selfie with her. She pulls the funniest face but this was my favourite picture of us both. Lastly I have had a splitting headache for the past two day so my wonderful other half took me to the shop for some paracetamol and lucozade and also picked up Girl Online for me too. I am so happy to actually have my hands on this book and cannot wait to start reading it.  I know there's not a lot of pictured but I would like to make this a weekly thing so keep and eye ...

Throwback Thrusday | Playing the bad guy

Image
I thought I'd share a picture of our pantomime days. I love doing these and really enjoyed being the villan this year.  I was actually about 6 weeks pregnant when we did the panto and I had to change a few this to make it easier to do.  I was playing the character or Morgana in Merlin. My Dad played Merlin and grew his hair and beard just for the character. It has always been a family affair and we have many memories of these from way back when I started at the age of 4.  This was the first year that I had ever played a bad guy and it was so fun to do. I have played the lead many time and been in the chorus a fair few times too.  I had a brilliant time playing the bad one but really struggled to be evil enough at first, I also had to sing, which I wasn't very good at but I still did and everyone seems ok with it. I have amazing memories and many pictures to remind me of the fun I have had over the years and the friends I have made too. ...
