Homemade pizza with homemade sauce

Image
I have finally got the homemade pizza down to a tee and wanted to share the recipe for both the pizza dough and the pizza sauce we now use. Both are simple and the sauce makes enough for four pizza's (we freeze three of them). Firstly the dough, you can't use the sauce without a base ready for you, this needs to be made at least 1 hour in advance You will need: 250 ml of Luke Warm Water 7 g of Dried Active Yeast (can get weighed packets from most stores) 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Sugar 2 tbsp Oil 350 g Strong Bread Flour Stir in the yeast to the warm water, it will normally go quite cloudy. Add the salt, sugar and oil and give it a good stir. Add the flour and mix until it forms a dough. Pout out onto a flour covered worktop and knead for around 7 - 10 minutes. Place in a large bowl and cover with cling film. Place in the fridge for at least an hour, you should see it rise. When you need the dough, pour onto a flour covered surface, knead and then roll out ...

Icecreams and Pizza • Summer Holiday Project 2016 #1

Day 1 is officially over and we have had a lovely but busy day. Lil's woke at 6am and has been awake ever since, we watched a bit of telly and had breakfast before playtime in her room and she got herself dressed too.  We met Grandma and Grandad (my Mum and Dad) in town today and I also had to take some paperwork down to be sorted too. After sitting for almost an hour in the office we went for some lunch with Mum and Dad at a lovely fish and chip restaurant. Lil's shared a double fishcake and chips with my Mum and I had spring roll and chips with a gherkin too. After lunch we took a strool along the seafront with Lilly holding onto my Mum's mobility scooter. It was a lovely day and so we decided to have an icecream, Lil's had a smarties lolly and I had a millionaire shortcake icecream which was a little bit of a let down. Once home we made some homemade pizza dough and then Lil's helped me with the washing before decorating our pizza. ...

Valentine's day

Hope all of you had a brilliant Valentine's day. I just had a quite one in with my hubby to be :)  On Friday we watched a film together with a pizza and garlic bread and exchanged presents a few hours early lol. We watched American Pie the reunion which was actually pretty good. I got a beautiful card and a midnight Jasmine Yankee candle as a present, which smells amazing and looks perfect on my bedside table. I was surprised that he got this for me but her knows me too well lol. So for Valentine's dinner we made homemade bolognese with garlic bread and cheese. It wasn't the best but we both ate it. We also watched the voice together and he ran me a nice bath with our hohomemade bath bombs (blog post soon). It was a nice quiet day together and a lovely evening. I hope you all had a fantastic Valentines weather you are with someone or single. xXx
