We have been busy today today creating some spooky Halloween inspired secret stones to hide during half term. We were lucky enough to be gifted some paint marker pens by BOJECHER to try out. These are perfect for many different materials such as pebbles, wood, glass, fabric, ceramic and more.  These are perfect for so many crafts all year round, they're weather proof so will last a long time. The pen has two tips to choose from, a 3mm diagonal one and a 5mm round on, the round one being better for painting bolder lines. We have had lots of fun creating some scary designs using all 12 colours in the pack, the pack includes 10 normal colours and two metalic ones too. We are sadly almost at the end of the school holidays but I have been doing a few crafts with Lilly all aimed at Halloween and Autumn and I wanted to share them with you as they may keep your little ones happy for a while.                       Decorated Pumpkin                                                         This is such a simple thing and so inexpensive too. We picked up one of the small pumpkins from Asda for just 50p, they are a little to small to carve but perfect for making sparkly and cool. You will need: - 1 × Small pumpkin - Glitter / paint / stickers This year we have some glitter stickers as we can't seem to find any normal glitter anywhere local. October is over for another year and I am so excited for the two months ahead of us, bonfire night and the build up to Christmas.  October has been a pretty good month apart from my silly banana car braking down twice, the first time I actually had to be towed home.....not good. I am now looking to get it sorted and selling it on for a more reliable car for me and Lilly.  We had a lovely week during half term, we had some lovely family days together and did lots of baking too. We made  cheese scones ,  tiffin mess  and  honey choc chip cookies . Another thing that happened during this month was that Lilly got prescribed some glasses  as she is long sighted. She has been so good in wearing them so far and loves swapping between her Frozen pair and her Rapunzel pair. I hope that November brings me luck with my car and that it is a good as this month, if not better.

I have finally gotten around to creating and sharing Lilly's Halloween basket/bucket. We have used a cauldron this year as it fits everything perfectly. I love creating this every year as we don't go trick or treating around our area, we create a lovely day with treats, Halloween specials of her favourite programmes and crafts to do. I also want to create a spooky dinner as well for her. In her basket/bucket this year is - A Halloween pumpkin torch with bat lense, Tesco £1.50. - A Halloween pumpkin sippy cup £1. - A Sweetie cone for a treat, all Halloween themed. - Monsters sticker and activity book, Aldi 99p reduced to 49p. - Room on the Broom. - Little Miss Sunshine and the Wicked Witch. We had a very queit and relaxed Halloween with a couple of crafts, a costume and a spooky dinner to finish the night off. He cute little Spider princess costume was from Aldi and was only about £3 which I thougt was a brilliant price, and she looks super cute too. She loved being the spider princess and was waving her wand about at me and Daddy, turning us into bugs. We made a bracelet with a kit that I got last year fron Sainsbury's and after we made some toilet roll monsters. You will need: - Painted toilet rolls - Glue - Anything you want to add. Lilly loved adding the stars and deciding what face I should draw on the front. I pre-painted the tubes a few days ago and hadn't got around to it till yesterday, but it gave us an extra thing to do. At dinner time I wanted to keep the Halloween theme going so I made her a kind of spooky spider dinner. This was a waffle, a sausage square (cut into a spider shape), sweetcorn and gravy. ...

We have been busy carving pumpkins for Halloween and wanted to share our carvings with you. Firstly my other half created this wonderful wolf, he did a fantastic job on it. Last year the daily mail had a pumpkin carving tamplates page of which my other half chose to do this one. It took him about an hour woth making the holes around the template and then carefully cutting out the shape. Then making it perfect by gettibg rid of any unwanted bits. I think he did a brilliant job and it looked so spooky all lit up  The next one way my creation. I wanted to make mine look scary so made everything quite triangular and angry looking.  I just drew the face on then cut into the pumpkin using a pumplin carving kit from poundland. Lastly lilly wanted a happy pumpkin which she helped scoop all the inards out of.  She also helped me cut the pumpkin but made sure I had hold of the little saw so I could stop at any point for any reason. I know it's a few days after Halloween but I wanted to share with you what we got up to. We had a fantastic day with lots of different activities to keep Lilly busy.  Firstly we went to Tesco where we got Lilly's face painted as a pumpkin for charity and got a photo taken to. So lots of memories. She sat so still when having her face done, she was amazing. I did Lilly a little Halloween bucket with a few bits in. We had a Peppa pig Halloween sticker book, so biscuits to decorate, so chocolate, and some orange paint for our handprint spider. Lilly decorated her pumpkin biscuit with icing and sugar balls. I helped with the icing but she loved putting the sugar balls onnto the icing. Lilly loves doing handprints so thought I would tie it in with Halloween and made a spider out of them. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Last Saturday was an annual parade called the zombie walk or the walk of the dead. Every year 1066 walk of the dead takes part to raise money for charity, this was our first year at taking part and I will definitely be there next year with plenty more gore. Lilly loved it and by the end was trying to scar people with her silly zombie voice. Below is a selection of pictures from the day.  Not sure why but I really like this photo of when I was getting my make up done One scary lady, even creeps me out. A few of the zombies! Was such an awesome day and was good to know it was for a good cause. Will definetly be better prepared next year and sort out a proper costume to go with the make-up. So today Lilly did her first ever Halloween craft with me. I was clearing out her craft cupboard I came across a bag of sweet wrappers and thought about something I could make. So here it is, our sweet wrapper pumpkin, quick and simple. You will need: - Some card - Sweet wrappers  - Glue - Scissors - Chalk Firstly draw your pumpkin or other shape onto the card with chalk or light crayon. Next glue the entire shape inside, Lilly did most, I just filled the area in. Next let your little ones stick down the wrappers which match your theme and picture. We used orange and gold for the face and green for the stalk. make sure all the wrappers are secure and glue down amy over laps.    Next is to cut it out and tidy the edges. To make the face I took the corners of the offcut card and got lilly to stick into place with help of pointing out roughly where. So simple and cheap to do. XxX
