Mummy + Me July 2017

Image
So today marks the last day of July, This month seems to have been the slowest so far but its nice as I have spent some quality time with our girl over the last week and a half. We're in full swing of the summer holidays now and have already had a lovely few days down the park and enjoying the concoctions of weather. I have been struggling a bit with my emotions over the past couple of weeks but have a huge support network around me. I have just been missing mum a lot and can't quite explain to some people how I feel as I don't really know myself.  We have a lot planned for next month, we have camping trips, a carnival and a special trip to pets at home coming up. I want to enjoy these next 7 weeks with her as when she start school in September I know she is going to grow and change so much while she is at school.  How has your month been and what have you got planned for the next few weeks?

Losing my Mum | 2 months on

Image
I was never expecting to lose my mum at the age of 25, I don't think anyone does, but my mum was always so strong, conquered so much and fought so many illnesses and obstacles that in my head she was invincible. I don't quite know how to process my feelings lately because I know at the end she was very unwell and had a great way of hiding it but she is my mum, I need her so much. She has literally been the person who I have been able to open up to about everything, she was my best friend and my guide. Sometimes I think that I am relieved that she is not in pain anymore but most of the time I hate that she is not around anymore, I will never get a phone call about an ambulance that has rolled in on to there estate or a moan about Dad, I will never watch Lil's hold on to the back of her mobility scooter laughing her head off again. I am so proud of the women who brought me up, she was an incredible lady who touched a lot of hearts and proved a lot of profession...

5 Things I want to achieve this year | 2016

Image
A little bit late but wanted to share the 5 main things that I want to ahieve in 2016 Pass my driving test This is my main goal for the year, my driving test. This is super important to me for being able to explore more and not be stuck on the same track, have some independence. I also can wait to take lilly to nursery and pick her up from nursery not having to worry about buses. I am super excited for this and can't wait to get on the road. Visit the Harry Potter studios Another big thing for me which I have been waiting to do for years now. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and have been for many years. I feel like this is the year I may be able to achieve this and save some money for he tickets.  Be Happier I notice myself that I am still a very inward person and like to hold my emotions im a much as possible which makes me quite a miserable person to be around when I am in that weird place. I really want to be able to be happier and smile more. Lo...

First day of Nursery

Image
This post really wants to make me cry knowing that my little girl is growing up and making her own adventures now. Yesterday was my little girls first settle in day at nursery and I was so proud how she did. Lilly looked so smart in her uniform and couldn't wait to get going when she was dressed. We left at 8 to get the bus down because the weather was awful, windy and raining so hopefully Thursday is better so I can do a full school run walking.  We arrived and I found her peg to put her bag and coat on, then watched her toddle off to play. I said goodbye to her and gave her a cuddle then left her to it. I felt absolutely lost without when walking back to the bus stop and it felt so strange to step on a bus and being able to choose my own seat. When I got back, I couldn't settle at all, I kept clock watching. I managed to get all the housework done and sti have an hour to wait. When I went to pick her us I was so nervous bit she had had a...

4 ways I cope with anxiety

Image
I have had a year battle with anxiety which turned more servere back in November.    I have had to learn how to cope with my panoc disorder to a point which I can move on with my life and not let it affect my day to day situation.  Four ways that I find that help me a lot are music, exercise, reading and my family.  Music I find music can really help to take your mind off of the situation or feeling that can cause you panic. I keep my music upbeat and happy as I can find slow songs to be difficult to listen to. I try and use song that I can sing along to or dance to with my little one to completely imerse myself within the song. Exercise Excercise is good for you anyway but it can make you feel better within yourself and heighten your endorphins. It also again can take your mind off the situation in hand. I find that short burst exercise routines of youtube can be the most helpful as there is someone kind of there to do it with you....
